Evrim Karaman: 20 Years of Patience and Labor That Began with a Single Cow

Evrim Karaman’s story is one of the most concrete examples of never giving up and building a life from the ground up through sheer grit. After shouldering her family’s financial burden for many years by working day labor jobs, Evrim became the sole provider for her household following an accident her husband suffered. The first cow she bought with the savings she had accumulated through great perseverance was not just an animal to her, but the beginning of a brand-new life. This journey, which grew as that first cow gave birth, has transformed today into 20 years of deeply rooted livestock farming experience.
Production Blossoming Amidst Responsibilities
For Evrim, life is not just limited to the hours spent in the barn. While she provides fresh and natural flavors to her regular customers in the neighborhood by producing milk and dairy products, she also cares for her sick mother-in-law at home with deep devotion. Spending every penny she earns on her household expenses, her children’s education, and feed for her animals, Evrim presses on without complaining for a single day, despite the weight of her responsibilities. Although she had to take a brief break from her work just before the earthquake, she rose from the ashes after the disaster and embraced her business with even greater determination.
MaviKalem: Uninterrupted Production Against Power Outages
The chronic power outages in Hatay after the earthquake, which brought production to a standstill, were one of Evrim’s biggest obstacles. The generator and milking machine support provided by MaviKalem completely eliminated this hurdle. Thanks to the generator, her work is never left unfinished—even during the most difficult moments when the power goes out—allowing the milking and production process to continue uninterrupted. Meanwhile, the speed and convenience provided by the milking machine eased her physical burden and multiplied her productivity, enabling her to transition to mass production.
A Dream for the Future: The Desire to Build a Farm
Evrim Karaman, who started this journey 20 years ago with just a single cow, is now envisioning much bigger dreams. Her greatest goal is to expand her livestock, establish a professional farm, and take her production capacity to the next level. By growing the world she built with her own two hands, she wants to both provide a better future for her family and add to the abundance of Hatay.
“I never forget the day I bought that first cow with the money I earned from day labor jobs. Now I have my generator and my machines; I’m not afraid of the dark anymore. My dream is to turn this business into a farm and leave my children a legacy they can be proud of.”
