Nesrin Yarcan Create Your Style at Elmas Boutique!

“I have been working since I was a child, I am used to it. When I was young, my dream was to open a hairdresser’s shop, but I didn’t get support from my family. I like doing things with my own labor. It is very nice to work and earn something.”

Nesrin is a working woman who has made a living by farming for years. In addition to farming, she also sold clothing and cosmetics through catalogs to earn additional income. However, she had to quit when farming became too much work. Nevertheless, she did not give up working; she continued to earn income by making sales wherever she went. She sold clothing at her husband’s workplace for two years. While her husband sold catalog products, Nesrin sold clothes in a part of the workplace. She had dreamed of starting her own business since she was a child, and she progressed step by step towards this goal.

“I have been working since I was a child, I am used to it. When I was young, my dream was to open a hairdresser’s shop, but I didn’t get support from my family. I like doing things with my own labor. It is very nice to work and earn something.”

After the earthquake, in order to maintain her economic independence, she started procuring products and selling them at the Subaşı Labor Bazaar. She would carry her products to the bazaar, sell them, and then return home. It was physically exhausting to carry on like this, but Nesrin persevered. As this process continued, she heard about MaviKalem’s project at the bazaar and applied. She had the opportunity to start her own business and opened her boutique in Subaşı Container Bazaar with the support provided. What she had dreamed of for years has now become a reality, she has opened her own business! She sells women’s and children’s clothes in her boutique. She brings the latest models to Defne. For those who cannot come to the bazaar, she delivers the orders herself in the city. She wants to take her business outside the region where the boutique is located and promotes her products on the Elmas Boutique Instagram account. She uses digital sales channels for out-of-town sales.

Nesrin’s biggest dream now is to expand her business and open chain stores! Nesrin, who came here with her own effort and determination, said, “Women should always stand on their own feet and start their own businesses. They will be happier when they realize their dreams.”

You can reach Nesrin’s boutique at Subaşı Mahallesi 2437 Sokak No:6 Defne Hatay and try and buy new models of clothes!
