Gülhan used to run a tailor shop in the center with her husband before the earthquake. They had a big tailor shop. They also had a large customer base. Just when she had established this organization, she wanted to enter the clothing business. She rented a workplace, arranged her shelves and ordered her products. With the earthquake, his house and workplace were destroyed. She could only save one sewing machine from her workplace. After the earthquake, she went out of the city with her family. Her loved ones, customers and people around her always called Gülhan and convinced her to return to work.

Six months after the earthquake, Gülhan could not trust the buildings because everything was damaged. She built a house and a workplace in the garden of her house with her own efforts. She returned to her job with the support of those around her and her customers. Her customers did not leave her alone, they supported her and this is how she recovered.

Gülhan Çiçek did not apply anywhere after the earthquake. She applied to MaviKalem through an acquaintance and wrote a letter. She was excited to be interviewed and asked about her needs.
