Let’s buy from women producers!
To increase women’s access to income and prevent women’s poverty, we are launching the “Let’s buy from women producers!” campaign this week.
We need your support for the “Let’s buy from women producers” campaign!
Since August 2023, we have supported women producers affected by the February 6 earthquake in Hatay. Together we have witnessed once again that women’s income-generating work strengthens society and gender equality.
With this campaign, we aim to make the products of both the women producers we supported in Hatay and women producers all over Turkey accessible to more people.
With this campaign, you will not only support the labor of women producers but also support the spread of this important social awareness.
Please find attached the visuals you can use during the campaign.

“Buy from Women Manufacturers” Campaign by MaviKalem
Solidarity with Women Manufacturers!
MaviKalem continues to support women’s participation in economic life.
82 women were supported with tools, equipment and materials to start and develop their businesses through the “Women Access Income” program implemented in Hatay after the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquake.
During the post-earthquake reconstruction process, the steps taken by women to generate income and the success they achieved were inspiring for many women. Digital channels were created for these real stories to reach a wider audience. As part of the program, the kadinisi.org website was established to promote women’s business stories, products and sales channels. Women’s success stories are also shared on Instagram and Facebook accounts.
From January 27th to February 2nd, the “Buy from Women Manufacturers” campaign will run. Inspired by the “Women Access Income” program, this campaign aims to support the labor and success of women producers in general.
During the campaign:
- Women are encouraged to establish and develop income-generating businesses.
- Women producers are encouraged to meet their needs first and foremost.
Thus, women’s participation in economic life is supported.
You can contribute to the spread of the campaign by sharing social media posts with the hashtag #KadınÜreticidenAl. Starting this week, you can contribute to women’s economic freedom by purchasing your needs from women producers.
Women Build Their Business and Write Beautiful Stories!
The journey of starting and developing a business is not limited to products and services. Our stories are shaped by what we meet, talk, share and learn from each other. So we gathered in Hatay and became empowered against violence against women.
We talked about how to break the cycle of violence at every stage with the “Women Write Beautiful Stories” tool, which aims to transfer information from woman to woman. We talked about support mechanisms and ways to apply.
In our groups, we created slogans against violence and painted. Here are our slogans:
“No to violence against nature, women, children and dumb creatures!”
“There is no excuse for violence!”
“As a woman, I want a world full of love!”
Some feedback from our meeting;
“As a woman, when we try to continue our own work and life, we face the obstacles of our parents at first and then our husbands. But at this very point, I tried to free myself by fighting harder, because women’s power can do anything.” (Gülcan Mengüllüoğlu)
“I see coming to these meetings like going to the doctor for a health check-up, because it is very good for my soul. Spending time with the friends I made with this project is also very good for me.” (Ebru Yoğun)
Hatay's entrepreneur women are breaking limits
We ended the year 2024 on TRT Radio 1. Project coordinator Aybala Arslantürk joined the Günebakan program hosted by Ebru Erkekli.
We talked about the story of the Women Access to Income program, what we have been doing for the past year and a half, and how we brought women together with which supports. We talked about the business stories of the women who inspired the program. We were happy to share their business journeys, ranging from applications received by letter, business ideas that started in tents, and product shipments that were not limited to Hatay but spread beyond the city.
*Our program, which supports women who established and developed their businesses after the February 6 earthquake with tools and materials, continues with the project we carry out in cooperation with Fondation de France. We share women’s business stories, products and services on our kadinisi.org website and Instagram account. We stand by women entrepreneurs with business development videos with experts.
We continue to make our voice heard everywhere! You can listen to the broadcast dated 31.12.2024 here.
